Steph Gemson
Steph is TaxGem by name, nature and everything in between.
Qualifying at EY in 2013 and working with some big names throughout her career (including Manchester United FC), Steph brings a huge amount of experience and a great network.
Her real passions lie with implementing and supporting growth strategies for ambitious OMBs; and providing clients with more tax efficient structures for their businesses to maximise wealth retention. But….no matter what she’s working on, her energy is always consistent and infectious.
Ellie O’Farrell
Ellie is our fully qualified ACCA accountant! She will be here to help with your everyday queries, compliance and tax advice.
Ellie is passionate about delivering to you an extraordinary service and becoming a part of your team.

Bec Johnston
Bec runs Operations here at TaxGem Ltd.
Bec comes from a project coordination background within the utilities sector, holds a Masters Degree and uses her skills to keep the ‘behind the scenes’ elements of TaxGem Ltd running smoothly! Including client care, onboarding and keeping everyone up to speed with Anti-money laundering regs!

Simona Aleknaite
Simona joined our team as a bookkeeper and, through hard work and dedication, has developed into her current role as Management Accountant. She is continuing her professional journey with plans to achieve full CIMA status in the future.
Passionate about accuracy and detail, Simona is committed to producing clear, reliable financial records. She takes particular pride in ensuring VAT is handled with precision, giving clients complete confidence in their reporting.

Michelle is our Payroll Manager
Michelle has a wealth of experience in all things payroll, auto enrolment and CIS. She is also a whizz at bookkeeping too!
She is extremely conscientious and strives to provide fantastic customer service so don’t hesitate to reach out to her with your payroll queries.

Ben Williams
Ben heads up our Financial Planning arm, SilverGem. Ben has worked in the financial planning industry since 2015 and has been advising since 2017.
Ben prides himself on his strong, loyal client base, he receives excellent reviews and he a has proven track record of delivering strong customer outcomes. He is also a 3rd generation financial planner! It’s literally in his blood!
His qualifications include; First Class Honours degree in IT with Business (2013), Level 4 Long Term Care (2020) Level 6 Pension Transfers (2021), Level 4 Diploma for Financial Advisers (2017), Level 6 Diploma for Financial Advisers (2022) thus achieving Chartered Associate of the LIBF.

Huzy Ali
Huzaifah (Huzy) is our bookkeeping apprentice currently working towards his AAT Level 4 diploma with the aim of becoming a fully qualified ICAEW accountant in the future. He has a keen eye for detail and loves crunching the numbers.
Amy Durham
Amy is a personal tax specialist who helps people make sense of their taxes and deal confidently with HMRC. Whether it’s self assessments, capital gains, or future planning, Amy takes the stress out of the process with clear, straightforward advice.
