I’m a barrister and not an accountant. Despite possessing a moderate degree of intellect, I am still occasionally (actually regularly) confounded by the labyrinthine tax rules that apply to the self-employed. Steph, Simona and the team at TaxGem provided me with an idiot-proof explanation of my VAT and income tax liabilities, all supported by direct contact over the phone along with superbly informative videos regarding my accounts accompanied with a bespoke voiceover. Never had that sort of service from an accountant before - and I’ve had a few.
